Gabigol makes history, Scolari 'cries' and Flamengo wins Libertadores

Flamengo won, on Saturday, the 2022 edition of the Libertadores Cup, beating Athletico Paranaense, by Luiz Felipe Scolari, 1-0 in the final.

In a final played in Guayaquil, Ecuador, the team from Curitiba even started better than the opponents with a great occasion starring Alex Santana, but the expulsion of Pedro Henrique, who saw the second yellow card in the 43rd minute, left the team led by Luiz Felipe Scolari with 10 units and made the task even more complicated.

Playing against a team with one less opponent, it was easy for Flamengo to reach the winning goal. Served by Everton Ribeiro, Gabigol appeared in the area to score the winning goal and make history.

By scoring once again in Libertadores finals, the forward surpassed Pelé and equaled Zico and Thiago Neves in the list of Brazilians with the most goals in Libertadores Cup finals.
