Genoa chaos over next coach

The situation going into the Christmas break is one of total and utter confusion, as President Enrico Preziosi burned a few too many bridges.

They started the season under Andreazzoli, but he was fired on October 22 after two wins, two draws and five defeats in all competition.

Thiago Motta took over and has practically been dismissed after a 4-0 defeat to Inter, although the decision appears to have been made even before that game.

The former PSG youth team boss managed two wins, three draws and five defeats between Serie A and the Coppa Italia.

Diego Lopez is flying in from Uruguay after his spell in charge of Penarol and is expected in Italy on December 27. However, President Preziosi seems to be unconvinced by the idea of hiring the former Cagliari, Bologna and Palermo coach.
