Gerard Pique makes Champions League history

Gerard Pique has put his name down in tournament's history books with his latest goal in the Champions League. The Blaugrana overcame Dynamo Kyiv with a goal by Pique as he converted Jordi Alba’s inch-perfect cross flawlessly. With the goal, Pique is now regarded as the highest-scoring Champions League defenders list. Barcelona’s player has netted 16 times in the prestigious tournament, making him the most successful defender in terms of goals scored.

In the all-time list he is level with former Real Madrid defender Roberto Carlos and now needs just one more goal to be the all-time leader. Real Madrid star Sergio Ramos is running third in the list but hasn't yet played for PSG owing to his injury issues.
