Getafe denied Athletic Bilbao a win

The Athletic club kept its winless streak alive with yet another draw for the Basque Country club which takes the tally to five draws for the team and sees them off to ninth place after 16 matches so far. Athletic Bilbao’s thirst for a win has remained unquenched since their last league win in October against Villarreal. The relegation-threatened Getafe kept Bilbao in check with a goalless draw on Monday after goalkeeper Unai Simon made a lot of key saves to avoid a defeat.

Getafe’s coach Quique Sanchez Flores was sent off for excessive complaining to the referee as well at the final whistle as their disappointing results keep piling up, Getafe’s horrendous start to the season saw seven consecutive defeats and has just won two straight at home leaving the club second to last in the standings.
