Group A Netherlands vs. Qatar

Netherlands will  head into Tuesday's Group A competition with tournament hosts Qatar given that a victory or a draw would make them qualify for the last-16 stage of the 2022 World Cup. Netherlands kickstarted their tournament with a 2-0 win over Senegal on November 21, which gave them a nice position to seal their place in the knockout stage gping into their second game with Ecuador.

Cody Gakpo's second goal of the World Cup witnessed Louis van Gaal's men grab the lead against Ecuador on Friday, but Enner Valencia quickly came up with an equaliser early in the second period, with the two teams taking part in the spoils, so Holland still have a lot of work to do when it comes to advancing in the competition. Van Gaal's men would make it through to the round of 16 if they win or draw against Qatar.
