Guardiola allows Ferran Torres to leave City in January

Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola has given a green flag to Ferran Torres to move to Barcelona if City fails to secure a good offer for the player. The Spaniard as it turns out is no.1 on the transfer list of Barca’s new boss Xavi Hernandez during the winter transfer window as the rebuilding phase kicks in.

Barca is all set to take on Villarreal on Saturday and needs to consistently win in La Liga to climb from seventh place to the top, they trail behind leaders by 10 points. The Manchester City forward brings speed and a goal threat at the Camp Nou which is what Xavi’s team desperately needs. Torres is ready to leave Etihad Stadium behind and move to La Liga giants. Barca would need to first make some funds available before placing a bid for the Citizens’ player.
