Guardiola is Premier League coach of the year and passes Mourinho

Pep Guardiola has one more award to add to the collection. The Spaniard was named Premier League coach of the year on Tuesday.

Champion with Manchester City in a season marked by a recovery in the table, Guardiola stayed ahead of the competition to take the individual trophy for the fourth time in his career. Since 2017, Guardiola has only lost two awards, both against Jurgen Klopp. With this achievement, the coach of the cityzens left behind José Mourinho and Arsène Wenger, behind Alex Ferguson, leader of the list with 11 awards.

Manchester City beat Arsenal in the race for the title and can add another big prize to their history. Cityzens will, for the second time in history, compete in the Champions League. Against Inter, Guardiola hopes to lead Rúben Dias and Bernardo Silva to glory.
