Hard to leave out Callum Hudson-Odoi against Tottenham

Frank Lampard has requested to ignore any “noise” around excluding important players. Especially, when rotating his expertise-laden Chelsea team. Lampard disclosed his difficulties in omitting Callum Hudson-Odoi from his Chelsea team for a goalless draw against Tottenham on Sunday. At Rennes, Hudson-Odoi had acquired an excellent goal in the 2-1 Champions League win. And carry on to be publicly courted by Bayern Munich, long-term suitors.

Lampard, Blues boss took the exceptional step of speaking personally to Hudson-Odoi on the reasons for his Tottenham exclusion.  And, he carried on to believe the 20-year-old has a thoroughly high-yielding long-term Stamford Bridge future.

Lampard said that in his squad he had to leave out four or five players per game.  But, he confirmed that Hudson-Odoi will feature in Wednesday’s Champions League trip.
