After scoring a brace in France's 5-0 thrashing of South Africa in an international friendly, Kylian Mbappe seemed convinced that one day he will be France's top goalscorer: "I always want to be number one".
"I know that there's still a lot of time ahead, everyone knows what Thierry Henry did (51 goals for 'Les Bleus'), no one has matched it, but I know I can break it and do it sooner than you think", said the PSG attacker to 'TV1'
At 23 years old, Mbappe has scored 26 goals for the national team. At his age, Henry had only scored eight. The PSG man has scored nine goals in his previous five matches for France and so, the World Cup winner of 2018 is very much on track to break Henry's record sooner or later.
