Hertha 2-1 Schalke

After being beaten 2-1 away to Hertha BSC on Sunday night, FC Schalke 04 went on to lose matchday 11. Lucas Tousart gave the home side the lead in the 26th minute, but Florent Mollet equalised with a late stab. After the final whistle, Hertha came away with a winning goal. Schalke were tight at the back in the first half and were eager to take the game to Hertha. Marius Bülter extraordinaryly volleyed in a cross from Mehmet Can Aydin (15 minutes).

However, VAR informed referee Martin Petersen that Bülter was in fact offside in the build-up to the rocket and so his shot was chalked off. In the second half, the Berliners had two more chances. Stevan Jovetic couldn't connect with Lukebauko's cross (26' ) and Kanga cleared the bar with a half-volley just before the break. Schalke were unhappy with their potential gain. Jovetic put Kanga in behind in the 88th minute and he scored.
