Hertha Berlin beat Augsburg 2-1

Dodi Lukebakio scored the winner for Hertha Berlin who clinched a win after a nine-match winless run over Augsburg and ended the night at 2-1. Hertha Berlin were favored to win the match as they maintained a seven-match winning run against Augsburg and Hertha coach Pal Dardai went in hoping to find their first win from his second stint in charge. Hertha did not start well though with Laszlo Benes putting the visitors ahead early in the match by scoring in the second minute.

And visitors were looking for chances to increase the lead but unfortunately, Florian Niederlechner hit the post instead in 38th minute. Augsburg’s well-drilled defense made it hard for Hertha to score as well with an inform Rafael Gikiewicz on the goalpost. But Krzysztof Piatek leveled the score somehow in 62nd minute and Lukebakio pushed in a winner in 89th minute.
