Hertha Berlin walked away happy with a point from their Bundesliga fixture with Union after Dodi Lukebakio’s penalty found the net and they salvaged a 1-1 draw against their local rivals on Sunday. Hertha despite the win still finds themselves in the relegation battle and just seven more matches are left for the team to climb their way out to the safety zone. Robert Andrich first put the hosts ahead in the 10th minute itself by scoring from outside the box but Lukebakio leveled in the 35th minute to have Hertha two points above the relegation zone.
Union on the other hand kept their unbeaten home run and strengthened it with 13 Bundesliga wins and remains 7th on the table unable to secure a spot for the European tournament, as they are four points adrift of Bayer Leverkusen. Stuttgart also found a win with a 1-0 finish against Werder Bremen earlier on Sunday.
