'Higuain River return impossible'

It was reported this morning that River were looking to bring back Higuain at the end of the season.

The 32-year-old began his career with the Argentine side before leaving to join Real Madrid in January 2007.

However, dad Jorge has now put a stop to the speculation, confirming that his son will honour his Juve contract, which expires next year.

For now, he can’t go back to River Plate,” he told Goal.com.

"For now, it’s impossible. Gonzalo has a contract for this year and the next.”

Higuain, who was loaned out to Milan and Chelsea in 2018-19, has scored eight goals and provided eight assists for the Bianconeri this season.
