Tottenham Hotspur finished 2-0 against City with goals from Heung-min Son and Giovani Lo Celso who helped them climb to the top of the Premier League Table. Son put Hotspur ahead early on by putting the ball through French midfielder Tanguy Ndombele in the first 10 minutes. City constantly tried to create pressure. Hotspur’s goal by Aymeric Laporte was also disallowed but they succeeded in increasing the lead after Lo Celso scored soon after joining as a substitute.
Spurs moved past Chelsea who was earlier at the top after defeating Newcastle on Saturday. Man City did dominate the game as well as possession for a while but failed to turn its opportunities Kevin De Bruyne came close to leveling the score but Spur’s defenders were strong and they were forced to settle for the defeat.
