Hotspur register earnest 5-1 win over Newcastle United

Tottenham Hotspur moved into the coveted Premier League top-four slot following a last part rush of goals from Matt Doherty, Son Heung-min, Emerson Royal and Steven Bergwijn which saw them move ahead to an unequivocal 5-1 success over Newcastle United at home on Sunday.

A large part of the first half was played in Newcastle's domain however Spurs neglected to make their impact first and the away side snatched an unexpected lead in the 39th moment through Fabian Schar, who hit home a free-kick past Hugo Lloris. Newcastle's lead, notwithstanding, endured just four minutes when Ben Davies stretched out beyond his marker to meet a wonderful Son cross to even out the game and rejuvenate a morose looking Hotspurs. Soon after Tottenham led the way and drilled home four more goals to enjoy a 5-1 win.
