How Crystal Palace's summer targets are fairing

The Eagles had a busy summer transfer window with several players from around Europe linked with a move to Selhurst Park

Crystal Palace had a huge squad overhaul during the summer that saw them let go several ageing first-team players and spend more than £60milllion on new recruits.

One of the most important arrivals wasn't even on the pitch, it was in the dugout, as Palace replaced outgoing manager Roy Hodgson with former Arsenal player Patrick Vieira.

The Frenchman quickly got to work bringing new players in, specifically looking out for those who could play his possession-based, attacking style of football.

The club quickly wrapped up deals to sign centre-backs Joachim Andersen and Marc Guehi from Lyon and Chelsea respectively, plus the highly-rated Reading playmaker Michael Olise for around £8millon.

Conor Gallagher also arrived on loan, with midfielder Will Hughes coming in and Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard signing on deadline day.
