A late penalty by Immobile rescued a point for Lazio as they drew up against Torino. Maurizio Sarri had decided to employ a different strategy against Torino with more defenders on midfield as the coach benched Sergej Milinkovic-Savic for the match. Despite the experiment, the match did not play out just as Lazio would have liked it as the team could not create chances.
In the first half, Torino was imposing themselves but both the teams stayed locked at 0-0 by the end of the first half but Granata enjoyed a 53% possession rate. Later Torino went ahead with Pjaca’s header in the 76th minute, Lazio’s Spanish veteran saved a big goal a few minutes later which stopped Granata from doubling up. Immobile then saved the day by salvaging a draw at the end.
