In the clash of the season, Inter triumphed over Napoli

Defending Champions Inter Milan stay in play for the Serie A titles along with AC Milan and Napoli with the 3-2 triumph over Partenopei. Facing the previous mentor Luciano Spalletti and the team at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, Piotr Zielinski won the ball in midfield and completed a Napoli counterattack with a strike from the edge. Thereafter Nerazzurri retaliated later, with Hakan Calhanoglu converting a penalty successfully when Nicolo Barella’s shot struck the arm of Kalidou Koulibaly.

Victor Osimhen and Milan Skriniar were involved in a nasty head clash after which hosts took control and improved on their advantage on 61 minutes and Lautaro Martinez finished the counter-attack with a clinical finish. Later substitute Dries Mertens hit a beautiful long-range shot into the top corner and handed some hope to Partenopei but Inter stayed in control.
