In the battle of first-place leaders and last-placed dwellers, the result was unsurprisingly in the favor of Inter Milan who thrashed Salernitana 5-0 on Friday. Ivan Perisic set the defending champions on the winning track at 11 minutes at Stadio Arechi.
At the half, an hour mark Inter had a safe 2-0 lead with Denzel Dumfries’s firework at the 33rd minute. Going into the second half with a good lead Inter now needed more goals safety. Alexis Sanchez first came in at 52 minutes then, Lautaro Martinez scored at 77th minute with Roberto Gagliardini also getting the chance to make an appearance on the score sheet with a late goal three minutes from time and Inter recorded their sixth straight victory and fifth straight clean sheet.
