Inter fought hard to retain a buy-back clause on midfielder Stankovic

When selling midfielder Aleksandar Stankovic to Club Brugge, Inter battled hard to save the buyback clause, which they apparently plan to utilise in 2027. He was sold to Club Brugge for €9.5 million after spending time on loan at Luzern, Switzerland, where he has made 15 competitive appearances and scored one goal. However, Inter's determination to maintain a buy-back clause at a reasonable price caused the negotiations to drag on for weeks.

They were successful because the amount was fixed at €23 million in the summer of 2026 and €25 million if it was delayed until 2027. According to L’Interista, the club is already planning to activate that clause and bring Stankovic back to San Siro come the summer of 2027. He has already made steps forward, as this week he received his first senior call-up for Serbia.
