Inter Milan Eye January Moves for Defensive Reinforcements

After making five signings in the summer, Inter Milan could add more depth to their squad in January. According to Corriere dello Sport via FCInterNews, the club has set aside €20–25 million for new arrivals during the winter window. Beppe Marotta oversaw a busy summer that brought in Ange-Yoan Bonny, Andy Diouf, Manuel Akanji, and Petar Sucic, while Francesco Pio Esposito returned from an impressive loan at Spezia. With Bonny and Esposito performing well, attack is no longer a priority. 

Although Diouf has struggled to adapt, Cristian Chivu already has seven midfielders to rotate, making further signings in that area unlikely. Instead, Inter may turn their attention to defence, where veterans Francesco Acerbi and Stefan de Vrij are expected to depart at the end of the season, leaving room for fresh reinforcements at the back.
