International Duty stirs trouble for Manchester City

Ukraine's entire national team was forced to go under quarantine after three of its players tested positive for the coronavirus even before their face-off with Switzerland. The team also involved Ukraine defender Oleksandr Zinchenko who plays for Man City and would have been a great asset to have against Tottenham. The players that tested positive are Eduard Sobol, Yevhen Makarenko, and Dmytro Riznyk.

Without the left-back Pep Guardiola’s side would be one man short on the defensive side as the quarantine would continue for two weeks. This blow comes after one more defender Nathan Ake was injured while fulfilling his international duty for the Netherlands and was asked to rest a while. Winger Raheem Sterling also reported a calf injury and was pulled out of England’s squad leaving City buried in problems.
