'It's for now'. Pochettino wants to start work at Chelsea... this week

Chelsea seem to be very close to hitting the stride by hiring a new manager. Maurizio Pochettino has passed Luis Enrique and Julian Nagelsmann in the race for the job and will be days, perhaps hours, away from signing the papers to return to London. However, it all depends on one condition.

Says the Daily Star that Pochettino wants to join Chelsea now. The Argentinian does not want to wait until the summer to take charge of the team, wanting to remove Frank Lampard from the club to start his work with a view to the new season.

Pochettino can coach the second London team in his career. The Argentine spent six years at Tottenham, where he left for José Mourinho. The coach reached the Champions League final with the Spurs, a chance that Chelsea saw mortgaged in the quarter-finals against Real Madrid, already with Lampard in charge.
