Jamie Vardy locks one-year extension with Leicester

The former England hitman has received the Premier League’s golden boot after he scored 23 goals last season. The 33-year-old had joined in 2012 from Fleetwood and the deal will extend Vardy’s tenure to 2023. He said that the journey he has experienced with this football club is difficult to put in words. He added that although they have achieved so much already, there’s a lot more that he wishes to achieve with the team. He further added that he felt special of being able to commit his future to Leicester City once more. He always loved playing football in front of fans at King Power Stadium and would be happy to continue his journey further.
