Manchester United slap an exorbitant price on their versatile player Jesse Lingard seeing Newcastle United’s plans to sign the player on loan this January. Eddie Howe wanted to add Lingard to the squad for the rest of the season after they witnessed the 29-year-old in action at West Ham United last year. But even for a six-month loan spell, United is demanding an obscene fee for the player and it has forced Magpies to rethink their interest in the player and add him to the squad.
The Relegation-threatened side has reportedly also scooped a United target from Olympique Lyonnais only recently. Lyon midfielder Bruno Guimaraes would undergo medical before his transfer to Newcastle is finalized. Guimaraes joined Lyon from Brazilian side Athletico Paranaense and has since scored three goals in his 71 appearances.
