Jose Mourinho, Tottenham Hotspur's boss has been given a one-match suspended ban. UEFA has confirmed that the reason for this is they were quite late to kick-off against Royal Antwerp in the Europa League.
And, to rub salt in the wounds, Tottenham Hotspur was also penalized £23,000 for the late kick-off. It was due to breaching of UEFA’s ethics, control, and disciplinary board (CEDB) regulations. An amount of 3,000 Euros was also added to the fine for contravention of UEFA’s equipment regulations too.
Spurs also lost the game 1-0 in Belgium. Jose Mourinho, the exasperated Portuguese manager made four changes at half-time. Still, they did not manage to win.
In a recent interview, he admitted that he would have made 11 half-time changes as he was afraid of a long 45 minutes without any changes to make.
