Jules Kounde had almost realized his dream to play for Thomas Tuchel's side in Premier League after everything seemed on track before the deadline day. The French defender had even agreed to the personal terms with the European Champions but Sevilla at the last moment backed out of the deal and forced Kounde to stay in La Liga at least till the next transfer window. Blues have been in excellent form as well at the start of the season with no loss from the three matches.
Kounde is enraged with Sevilla’s decision and at the moment is even ignoring the calls from manager Julen Lopetegui. Chelsea had bid £43m for the defender while Sevilla were demanding £68.5m for the 22-year-old instead. Seeing the fact that Sevilla was not open for negotiations the West Londoners did not put forth another offer.
