Jurgen Klopp Praises Diogo Jota's Evolution into a 'World Class Striker'

Jurgen Klopp praised Liverpool forward Diogo Jota's continued improvement, believing he is becoming a 'world class striker'.

Jota scored his 14th Premier League goal of the season – only teammate Mohamed Salah scored more – in the Reds' 2-0 home win over Watford on Saturday, opening the scoring after a perfect cross from Joe Gomez.

Speaking to the press after the match, Klopp praised Jota's evolution as a striker, believing that he is slowly becoming a 'world class' option.

"Since he joined he has improved a lot, it has a little to do with his age, he is growing into the role of a world class striker step by step," Klopp said.

"He's been delivering for Portugal quite consistently, which is a tough job to do with all the offensive talent they have, so he's really the player we thought he would be and also a little bit better."
