Dušan Vlahovic set up a goal and scored one more as Juventus facilitated to a 2-0 win over club Salernitana to move close to reigning champs Inter Milan. Paulo Dybala came back to the lineup after missing a significant amount of action due to injury by scoring the opener as fourth-put Juventus added all three points to their tally. Massimiliano Allegri's side is still seven points behind pioneers AC Milan.

Juventus plays third-set Inter, the club that finished their run of nine straight Serie A titles after the worldwide break. In other matches, two first-half slip-ups gifted Francesco Caputo two goals as Venezia lost 2-0 in a fight with Sampdoria. Verona drew 1-1 at Empoli after striker Giovanni Simeone flopped two times with a similar penalty.
