Juventus defeat the table toppers in Serie A

Juventus put an end to a 27-game unbeaten run enjoyed by AC Milan so far in the season in Serie A with a 3-1 win. AC Milan though managed their one-point lead over Inter Milan as they lost 2-1 to Sampdoria. Federico Chiesa scored twice for the French champions in the 18th and 62nd minute at San Siro, later Weston McKennie increased the lead.

Milan was without their key players and top scorer Zlatan Ibrahimovic taking advantage of the same Juventus climbed closer to Milan reducing the gap to 7 seven points and are fourth on the table. Roma is placed third on the table with a three-point gap between them and Inter after Roma won 3-1 against Crotone. Sassuolo got the best of Genoa 2-1 to find themselves fifth on the table.
