Juventus defeated Udinese 2-0

Pierre Kalulu, Nicolò Savona, and Khephren Thuram were suspended, and Gleison Bremer, Juan Cabal, Arkadiusz Milik, and Teun Koopmeiners were absent due to injury, therefore the Bianconeri had selection problems going into the match. Isaak Touré, Florian Thauvin, Matin Payero, Jaka Bijol, and Iker Bravo were all injured, and Udinese did not have their top scorer, Lorenzo Lucca, or Arthur Atta, suspended when they went to Turin. Randal Kolo Muani and Manuel Locatelli gave the home team the first two chances and they controlled the majority of the possession in the first half.

The Udinese keeper stopped the Frenchman's attempt to beat Maduka Okoye from a close range, while Locatelli's attempt from outside the area missed the near post. Kenan Yildiz returned to action after serving a two-game ban, and his shot from distance was deflected for a Juventus corner kick.
