Juventus defeated Verona 1-0; Kean kept the Bianconeri in the game

With a 1-0 victory over Verona at the Allianz Stadium, Moise Kean led Juventus to its sixth straight triumph in all competitions. The best opportunity of the first half during a relatively quiet game was squandered when Danilo missed by hitting the goal frame, his free-kick brushed the top-left corner of the crossbar. Kean, however, made certain that the home supporters would have something to rejoice about by showing off his strength later to score fiercely, bringing his season total for league goals to six.

Juve has fallen four points behind fifth-placed Atalanta and three points behind sixth-placed Roma, both of whom play on Sunday, despite a far-from-stellar performance. After 15 minutes, Verona came close to scoring when Kevin Lasagna delivered a dangerous cross to the far post, where Fabio Depaoli scuffed a volley just past of Wojciech Szczesny's goal. The winning goal for Juve came in the 55th minute.
