Aston Villa will have to face Leeds United if they want to sign their player Kalvin Phillips during the summer transfer window. Phillips is considered to be a transfer target for Villa. They have been interested in this England star since 2019 and are willing to offer a £60million deal to Phillips to get him on their team.
On the other hand, Newcastle United have been also associated with their interest in Phillips, the 26-year-old Leeds United player. However, getting hands-on Phillips will not be easy now that Leeds has secured eight points clear of relegation. Phillips is reportedly available to extend his contract at Elland Road along with his present deal up at the end of the 2023-24 season. He has been a star player for Leeds. However, their poor performance and his hamstring injury coincided which is why he was kept away from December until Saturday’s match which ended with a draw 1-1 with Southampton.
