After returning to training in Madrid on Thursday as Karim Benzema was taking some time off after his participation in France’s Euro 2020 campaign. During his check-up, he was tested positive for COVID -19 and he will now have to isolate himself as per the norms. This will be a drawback for him as he will miss a lot of major parts of the pre-season preparations before Los Blanco’s new La Liga campaign. This weekend, Real Madrid is traveling to the UK before their match against the Scottish Champions Rangers on Sunday, before they take on Italian giants AC Milan on August 8. Benzema had to remain isolated for a couple of weeks before he could return to his teammates for training.
