Karim Benzema: UEFA Player Of The Year

After an outstanding campaign in which he nearly single-handedly guided his side to the UCL championship, Karim Benzema was officially named the UEFA Player of the Year. The Frenchman revealed his opinions on why he had such an incredible run the previous year and conveyed his gratitude to the team, management, and others. 

He praised Carlo Ancelotti, his manager, and said it was a blessing for him to work under him. “In my opinion, Ancelotti is the best coach in the world. I consider myself really lucky to play for Ancelotti, and I hope he continues at Real Madrid for as long as he can”; added Karim. 

Ancelotti also received the UEFA Best Men's Coach honour, adding to his list of accomplishments. The Real Madrid head coach expressed his appreciation while accepting the prize.
