Klopp Talk: Sadio Is a world class player

The game against Watford this weekend was very nearly perfect. With 5 goals—a hattrick for Bobby Firmino, and one apiece for Sadio Mané and Mohamed Salah—the highlight reel is pretty much all 90 minutes.

But even in those highlights, there’s moments of absolute gold. Sadio’s goal (the first of the game) was also his 100th Premier League goal. He’s now joined Salah as the third African player to reach the century mark in the Premier League, and the third player to score 100 times without scoring from the penalty spot. The boss wanted to celebrate that after the match ended.

“We should not forget that Sadio Mané – I’m not sure if he scored penalties for Southampton, not that I know – scored 100 goals without a penalty, so that makes a difference for sure,” he said to the club’s website.
