A long-range strike from Vincent Kompany handed Manchester City three points against Leicester City on Monday night which leaves Pep Guardiola's side needing a win on the final day of the Premier League to reclaim their title.
Brendan Rodgers' side looked to have all the answers to the hosts' offensive onslaught as the Foxes held the reigning champions for 70 minutes, until the City captain tried his luck from distance.
Having been afforded plenty of space all of 30 yards from goal, Kompany decided to try his luck. The captain's strike thundered into the top corner beyond the outstretched Schmeichel to send the home crowd into raptures.
The win means City finish the week one point above Liverpool, and a win against Brighton on Sunday at the American Express Community Stadium will ensure the Premier League title for Guardiola's men.
