Kylian Mbappe strikes again for PSG to top the Ligue 1 table

Kylian Mbappe’s double against Metz helped Paris Saint Germain register a 3-1 finish in the French league to go to the top of the table by beating Lille to it. Though PSG could lose the top spot if Lille beats Lyon on Sunday and they now need just one point to overthrow PSG.

Mbappe first put PSG ahead in the fourth minute and later defender Fabien Centonze pulled one back with a header. Centonze’s pass though created a great opportunity for Mbappe to score again at the hour mark and that was his 25th goal of the season. Striker Mauro Icardi’s 89th-minute penalty later made it 3-1 for the team. At the end Mbappe exited the match early raising doubts about whether he would be available when the team faces Manchester City in the Champions League’s semifinal first leg at home.
