La Liga: Athletic Bilbao beats Alaves 1-0

Athletic Bilbao forward Raul Garcia made up for a missed penalty by scoring a goal for the team to give them a lead over Alaves and win the match by 1-0. Athletic Bilbao's Inaki Williams also had a record-setting game in La Liga as he made his 203rd consecutive appearance for the team at San Mames Stadium. The striker has kept the streak going since  April 2016 and hasn't missed a game since. Williams broke the previous record of 202 set by Real Sociedad player Juan Larranaga.

Garcia was denied an early lead when Alaves goalkeeper Fernando Pacheco worked hard to keep the sheet clean. With the win, Bilbao is sixth on the table and enjoys a lead over Barcelona for a short while as well. As for Alaves they have lost the sixth straight match and stay in the bottom three-zone.
