Sevilla takes down Valencia by 3-1 at Sanchez-Pizjuan on Wednesday. Sevilla put up an unassailable lead inside of twenty minutes when goals by Papu Gomez, Rafa Mir and Toni Lato’s own goal put the team ahead. At about half an hour mark through Hugo Duro pulled one back for Valencia but could not make a mark later on.
Sevilla was the dominant side in the La Liga match. With the defeat, Valencia, which hadn't yet lost a match till now is fourth on the table and one point behind Sevilla, which is third with the win. Next Sevilla would play host for the newly-promoted Espanyol side and thereafter take on Wolfsburg in the Champions League fixture in Germany.
