Los Che secured a seventh place on the table before the winter break while both the sides ended the match with ten men when Uros Racic and Roberto Soldado were dismissed in the stoppage time after a scuffle. Levante got their hands on a two-goal lead within 30 minutes with Jose Campana’s goal later Roger Marti doubled their lead three minutes later.

Valencia then made a comeback after being two goals down when Goncalo Guedes fired one before the first half and then Carlos Soler converted a penalty successfully in the second half.
