Lazio saves face with some help from Milinkovic-Savic

Lazio grabbed one point after Thursday’s match-up with Empoli. The six-goal thriller saw both the Serie A clubs give their best on the field despite the looming threat of coronavirus in the air. Lazio depended on Sergej Milinkovic-Savic for the last-minute thrilling equalizer at Stadio Olimpico to steal a draw for hosts. Lazio is currently eighth on the table with six points between them and the Champions League place as they dropped points against promoted Empoli who is one place behind Lazio on the table with 28 points from 20 matches.

Lazio did not live up to the hype this season after the team defeated the likes of Juventus and Napoli. Empoli even enjoyed an upper hand from the first goal within eight minutes with goals from Nedim Bajrami and Szymon Zurkowski and Lazio remained one goal down throughout the second half as well until the 93rd minute.
