Lazio’s run in Serie A remains inconsistent

Lazio has recently qualified for the Champions League last 16 round but their run in Serie A still remains inconsistent as their patchy performance continued with a 1-1 draw against Benevento, where the Inzaghi brothers faced each other once again. Simone Inzaghi’s Lazio sits 8th on the table with 18 points off 12 matches while the newly promoted Filippo Inzaghi’s Benevento is 13th on the table and is avoiding relegation by just 6 points.

Lazio moved ahead in the 25th minute when Ciro Immobile scored for the side while Pasquale Schiattarella squared the score in the 45th minute for Benevento as the pitchside sibling rivalry continued. The Hosts would have scored late in the second half but Pepe Reina's attempt was thawed by Schiattarella, who tackled him in the stoppage time which earned him a red card but denied the other side three points. In another match, Crotone stays at the bottom after it draws with Udinese 0-0.
