Leeds announced that Bielsa will continue as head coach for another year

Leeds United have decided to stick with Marcelo Bielsa for another year as they once again look to achieve promotion from the Championship and reach the Premier League.

The legendary Argentine coach took charge of Leeds last summer, with the Yorkshire side having finished 13th in the Championship, but in his debut campaign on the bench at Elland Road, he almost inspired the team to automatic promotion.

In the end, Leeds finished third - with just the top two going up automatically - before falling short against Derby County in the play-off semi-finals. Bielsa, nicknamed 'El Loco', will be looking to take Leeds to the Premier League for the first time since 2004, while he has also become the first coach to manage Leeds in consecutive seasons since Brian McDermott in 2012/13 and 2013/14.
