What looked like an easy win for Liverpool turned into an embarrassing loss for the side as they end the year with a 1-0 loss to Leicester City. Mo Salah missed an opportunity that cost the Reds a lot at the King Power Stadium as their title chase took a hit. Ademola Lookman scored the lone goal of the match and Schmeichel worked hard to defend the lead and kept Liverpool at bay.
Salah missed his second penalty of the season after he had converted 15 consecutive Premier League penalties. Salah has in total scored 147 goals for Liverpool of which 19 have been penalties and though that is not a huge number were one of the important ones and even game-changing moments in the league and in Europe.
