Leicester City was defeated by New castle united in the recent Premier League matchup and suffered a huge blow to their Champions League hopes on Friday. City was hoping to secure an eight-point lead over fifth-placed West Ham who will take on Everton next. City did not have Jonny Evans on their side as he was ruled out of the lineup due to injury, Marc Albrighton replaced him in the squad but it did not help Leicester as they saw Newcastle take a 2-0 lead early in the first half itself with goals from Joe Willock and Paul Dummett.
While City was hoping to turn things around in the second half but Callum Wilson hit a double and put the game out of reach for Leicester. Late goals by Marc Albrighton and Kelechi Iheanacho did put them 4-2 but they ran out of time.
