Leicester combats with Nice over Celtic star Ryan Christie

Celtic star Ryan Christie’s contract with the club is set to expire next January and Nice has renewed its interest in the player after their £8m offer was rejected in January. This time one more Ligue 1 player has joined the race, AS Monaco. Leicester City had already thrown their hat in the ring and would have to battle Ligue 1 duo for the 26-year-old.

Brendan Rodgers has worked with the player during his time with Bhoys and wants to add him to the Leichester lineup along with Boubakary Soumare, who is heading for a medical soon. Leicester after consistently staying in the top four last season saw a drop in form in the end but secured a Europa League qualification even without Jonny Evans and Harvey Barnes. Christie has amassed 81 goals for the Scottish side in 142 games and would be a great addition to the Premier League side.
