Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund both have missed an opportunity to top Bundesliga

Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig have both missed a big opportunity. They didn't manage to put pressure on champions Bayern Munich at the top of the Bundesliga. As they were being held to costly draws. With lowly Mainz on Saturday, Marco Reus missed a penalty in Dortmund's 1-1 draw. Whereas, Leipzig again missed the chance to move to the top. And, then they had to settle for 2-2 at Wolfsburg.

Julian Nagelsmann's Leipzig, who had lost at home to Borussia Dortmund last weekend, reclaimed their draw.  The credit goes to the second-half equalizer of Willi Orban. Even after 16 games, it means they're still a point behind Bayern. With the struggling champions now have the chance to go four points clear. They'll get this opportunity when they host Freiburg on Sunday.

Leipzig opened the scoring in five minutes. It was the time when Nordic Mukiele slotted home Emil Forsberg's phenomenal pass. But Wout Weghorst, Wolfsburg's Dutch striker headed an equalizer. It was his 11th league goal of the season.
