Lewandowski’s streak ends at 19th match

Robert Lewandowski was on his way to set a big record for the club this time but would have to end the scoring streak to 19 matches. The Poland star has set a club record no doubt by scoring 19 consecutive times for the Bundesliga Club but the streak ended on Friday when Lewandowski missed the chance to put his name on the scoresheet against Greuther Furth. Even then Bayern took down the club by 3-1 and goes to the top of the table.

In the 40th minute, Lewandowski missed the chance to score for the team when he hit the crossbar and also missed out on leveling with Gerd Muller who holds the record for scoring in 16 Bundesliga games in a row. Lewandowski’s record could be traced back to the Champions League’s match against Arminia Bielefeld on February 15.
