Lille lost by 2-3 to Stade Brestois

Christophe Galtier’s lineup featured Burak Yilmaz, Boubakary Soumaré, and Jérémy Pied but they were staring at 0-3 loss in the first half itself. Brest side had lost four of their five matches but pulled off an impressive run against Lille. Ronaël Pierre-Gabriel scored his first goal for the Bretons ever since he joined from Mainz. They doubled their lead with Perraud netting in the far corner of the goal post and their quest continued when Steve Mounié set up Irvin Cardona at the 42nd minute to push past goalkeeper Mike Maignan. Lille answered with Paul Lasne scoring at 45+3’ and 57th minute as well to rescue the team from a humiliating loss. The Turkish striker got the chance to score a hat trick as well but failed as the shot struck the post and Brest ended up winning.

Elsewhere in Ligue 1, Lens and Stade de Reims held each other with 4-4, Nantes won 2-0 Lorient Metz and Dijon FCO drew up 1-1, Nice lost 1-2 AS Monaco, Lyon won 2-1 against Saint-Etienne and Angers won 5-1 against Nimes.
